Stealth reference in the description to a certain furry live action movie?
I have to admit, Eli /is/ looking slightly more unhinged by every page that goes by. I almost wonder if the story ends with Eli in a psych ward and that it was alll a dreeaaaammmm….

I have to say I really like the realistic you approach you took on what Eli’s friends think of what’s going on. In a lot of stories it’d probably be something more along the lines of “LIEK OMG ELI UR LIEK MAH BEST FRND I TOTES BELIEVE YOU MAN”. But honestly, if confronted with something like this in real life, I don’t think a lot of people could say that they would believe him. Very good writing on your part.
